About

Alice Devolle BA LLB GDLP

In 1997, I graduated from the Flinders University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Arts Degree majoring in Legal Studies and in 1999, I graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Laws Degree. Also in 1999, I successfully completed a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice with the Law Society of South Australia.

I was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of South Australia as a Barrister and Solicitor in January 2000.  I was admitted to practise as a Barrister and Solicitor in the High Court of Australia in June 2001. I am admitted to practise in any Federal Court of Australia including the Federal Magistrate’s Court of Australia and the Family Court of Australia.

Since graduating from the University of Adelaide, I have practised in the federal jurisdiction of family law and in 2001 I also gained valuable experience working as a family law solicitor in a high end matrimonial family law firm in the United Kingdom.

I have also gained experience working as a family law solicitor in Melbourne, Australia between the years 2006 and 2009.

Following my return to Adelaide in early 2009, I was employed as a senior family law solicitor for a well established Adelaide law firm. During my employ and prior to my departure from the firm in 2011, I was appointed as Head of the Family Law Department.

Also in November 2009, I successfully completed a “Level One Collaborative Practice” course and an “Advanced Collaborative Practice and Master Class” held at the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia.

I have a wealth of professional skills and personal experience arising from my professional and personal life.

I founded my firm in July 2011 with a view to create and build a family law practice that truly listens to clients, that is personal and offers a genuine understanding of the difficulties that clients will in most cases experience following the breakdown of a relationship. Divorced myself, I understand the difficulties, the emotional response and the financial implications that clients may face during the separation and legal process.

My service offers you time to be heard with friendly empathy and experienced professionalism at all times.
